Victoria House
Located in a southern neighborhood in Mexico City, a very calm area originally occupied by orchards and religious orders, the site for this house had impressive trees and light conditions.
We considered these characteristics and proposed a layout around the existing trees, creating a translucent-covered patio that connects the different spaces.
The sculptor owner suggested we approach the stairs not only as a vertical connection element, but as a beautiful sculptural object. To achieve this, we played with geometry, the stair risers and treads, and the voids, giving this element a determining presence within the space that articulates the house.
